Office Profiles

Kate co-founded Esprit in 1992 and began working as a full-time Director in 1999. Kate primarily deals with operations but since September 2012 Kate has been focusing her energies into developing Esprit Elite which is a smaller division of Esprit with untapped potential. Outside of the office Kate spends as much time as possible with her racehorses, this year Kate has a 4 year old filly who won three times last year and shows great potential for this year.

Emma co-founded Esprit in 1992 and joined as a full-time Director in 2002 to head up the Finance & Payroll department. Emma manages all financial aspects of the company which includes overseeing the payroll, administration and processing invoices. Emma is an accomplished equestrian and enjoys horse riding abroad, whether it be high up in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado or galloping alongside giraffe or wildebeest across the African plains.

Mark joined Esprit in 2006 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company. He brings over 25 years of Event and Operational Management experience, working at some of London's finest 5 star hotels along the way. He spends quite some time on site at sign-ins ensuring that our teams meet our Clients discerning standards, giving him the opportunity to see our teams and Clients regularly. Mark lives with his wife Hazel and enjoys a good pint of Real Ale and a game of golf when he can.  

Paul joined Esprit Tech at the end of 2004 as a Porter. After a year travelling and then 2 years on site first as a Driver/Porter and then as a Chief Porter, Paul joined the office team full time at the start of 2008.Paul looks after client bookings, staffing of assignments and is responsible for the management of the Esprit Tech division.  He also looks after transport & logistics for the group.Outside of Esprit you are most likely to find Paul kicking a ball of some sort. He is a keen follower of rugby and football but his big passion is Aussie Rules Football. As well as playing for the Wimbledon Hawks for the last 6 years, he has represented both Great Britain and England in the sport.

Kelly joined Esprit in April 2004, having just completed a 2 year round the world trip. As Esprit’s Staffing Manager, Kelly is responsible for ensuring the right team are placed with the right Client. It can be a huge operation and during the busy seasons Kelly has a large team of bookers answering the phones and the office becomes very noisy! On a day to day level Kelly’s job is to ensure that each staff member is looked after and knows well in advance who they are working for, where the job is taking place and what their uniform requirement is so we can make sure we are giving our Clients the best possible service.Outside of Esprit Kelly’s other life is as a Nutritional Therapist, and is a little obsessed with diets and health and can often be found in the kitchen analysing the pros and cons of everybody’s lunch.

Edward joined Esprit in 2006 as a waiter where he learnt about the finer details of the events industry before joining the full time office team in 2008.  On a day-to-day basis, Edward is responsible for overseeing our team of Interviewers and Assessors to ensure that we are always recruiting team members of the very highest calibre.  He also runs all internal training and development for our front of house team up to and including the ambassador level.  Edward fills any spare time during the week with writing our staff newsletter and maintaining our website. Outside the Esprit offices, Edward is a keen classical musician and performs with a variety of orchestras, string quartets and chamber groups. 

Jo joined the Esprit Group in 2008 as a part time job while treading the pavement looking for acting work.  She has worked in all different capacities with the company since then, from waitress to floor Manager, porter to recruiter & trainer. As Client Manager Jo's role finds her on the other side of the company, dealing with the day to day needs of our varied Client list, including putting together quotes, working with the booking team to put together the right teams for each event, and sometimes just being the friendly voice on the other end of a phone.

Kersti joined Esprit in 2006 as a member of our on-site team working as a Waitress, Floor Manager and Event Manager.  She joined the full time office team as a Client Manager in January 2007.  At the end of 2010 she handed the reins over to Jo Mitchell, and went on 11 months maternity leave.  On returning to work Kersti decided to split her time between stay-at-home-mum and part-time office worker and returned in August 2011 to work 3 days a week.  Her role now as Client Administrator sees her assisting Jo in the Client Department, dealing with requests from clients, putting quotes together, passing relevant information to the Booking department and generally offering support where Jo needs her. At home in Surrey, most of her time is taken up by an very active little boy and his activities, but she manages to squeeze in time for a bit of cooking and baking.

Sara joined the Esprit Group in 2011. She brings with her event and marketing experience and works alongside Kate (not for the first time) in developing Esprit Elite. Sara also lends a hand in managing project based work and was involved in client management for the recent London 2012 Olympics.  Sara lives in Sussex and has 2 children who are developing their independence, so when she can Sara enjoys trips to Italy.

Suzie joined Esprit in 2010 as a member of our onsite team, and since then has joined the office full time in March 2012, after deciding the events industry is where she wants to be. On a day to day basis, Suzie supports Kelly in the booking department overseeing all our front of house bookings in order to ensure we are sending out the best possible teams to our Clients. Outside of Esprit, Suzie likes browsing for hours in second-hand bookstores, socializing with friends in London, her favourite city in the world, and has a great love of stand-up comedy.

Mark Bailey - Tech Assistant

Mark has been with Esprit Tech since 2005 and  joined the office Tech team in June 2012. Mark was thrown immediately in at the deep end by being tasked with overseeing a very successful Olympic Park contract. Mark has become an integral part of the Tech team in assisting Paul in running the Tech division and has brought the office a new lease of life. In his spare time Mark is an avid sports fan and follows his teams in football, cricket and rugby back home in his native South Africa.

​Tim Manville - Esprit Events

Tim began with Esprit as a waiter in 2009 which marked the start of his climb up the onsite, front of house ladder. This growth mirrored his progression through a BA Hons in Events Management which he completed in May 2012 as he became an Esprit Event Manager. He now works for us on a full time basis, and with his colleague Jon makes up The Esprit Events Department. His focus very much continues to be out onsite but this experience is invaluable in many of his office roles; including his dedication to Bar and Drinks Training. As a department they ensure the life of a staff member is tracked by encouraging growth and opening windows of opportunity.  Aside from Esprit Tim enjoys exploring upcoming cocktail bars around London and occasionally escaping to the country to walk the family dog.

​Jonathan Hooper - Esprit Events

Jonathan joined Esprit  in August 2008 in order to fund 6 months of travelling. Esprit gave Jonathan the Events Industry bug and he hasn't looked back. Upon return from his travels Jonathan started an Events Management Degree at Greenwich University, whilst simultaneously working his way through the onsite ranks within Esprit. Jonathan graduated from University in July 2012 with a 2:1, and to date has Event Managed many events from House Warming Parties to Olympic Family Venues at London 2012. Jonathan now works alongside his colleague Tim Manville in The Esprit Events department, the newest addition to Esprit. With a focus on developing fully managed teams and staff welfare and its outside social community, many exciting projects will be taking place soon. When Jonathan is not working at Esprit in the office or onsite, he can be found enjoying London’s many eateries, exhibitions and bars with his girlfriend, and family. He also enjoys shopping, cycling and anything to do with good design.
