Kate Lumsden - Director

Having co-founded Esprit in 1992, I joined as a full working Director in 1999 to take over the Training department. I now oversee all aspects of the Company on an operational level and manage Esprit Elite which provides Corporate Hosts/Hostesses. In my free time I can be found out on the gallops watching my horses. For years now I have been involved as an Owner with Highclere Thoroughbred Racing. It is wonderful to be involved in something that is so totally different to anything that I do on a daily basis.

Emma Lumsden - Director

Having co-founded Esprit in 1992, I joined as a full working Director in 2002 to head up the Finance & Payroll department. On a day to day basis, I manage all aspects of the company financially and oversee the payroll administration & processing. When I take time out, my passion is horse riding abroad, whether it be high up in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado or galloping alongside giraffe or wildebeest across the African plains.

Mark O'Brien - General Manager

Mark joined Esprit in 2006 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company. He brings over 25 years of Event and Operational Management experience, working at some of London's finest 5 star hotels along the way. He spends quite some time on site at sign-ins ensuring that our teams meet our Clients discerning standards, giving him the opportunity to see our teams and Clients regularly. Mark lives with his wife Hazel and enjoys a good pint of Real Ale and a game of golf when he can.  

Bob Tumilty - Esprit Tech Client Manager

Bob has 15 years experience in the events industry, and joined Esprit in 2003 as Client Manager for Esprit Tech.  As well as looking after all Client requirements, he is responsible for recruiting, training and developing the back of house Team.

Paul Francis - Esprit Tech Operations Manager

Paul joined Esprit Tech at the end of 2004 as a part-time Porter. After a year travelling and then 2 years on site first as a Driver/Porter and then as a Chief Porter, Paul joined the office team full time at the start of 2008.Paul looks after Client bookings, staffing of assignments and is responsible for the day to day operation of Esprit Tech.  He also looks after transport & logistics for the group.Outside of Esprit you are most likely to find Paul kicking a ball of some sort. He is a keen follower of rugby and football but his big passion is Aussie Rules Football! As well as playing for the Wimbledon Hawks for the last 5 years, he has represented both Great Britain and England in the sport.

Kelly Thorley - Staffing Manager

Kelly joined Esprit in April 2004, having just completed a 2 year round the world trip. As Esprit’s Staffing Manager, Kelly is responsible for ensuring the right team are placed with the right Client. It can be a huge operation and during the busy seasons Kelly has a large team of bookers answering the phones and the office becomes very noisy! On a day to day level Kelly’s job is to ensure that each staff member is looked after and knows well in advance who they are working for, where the job is taking place and what their uniform requirement is so we can make sure we are giving our Clients the best possible service.Outside of Esprit Kelly’s other life is as a Nutritional Therapist, and is a little obsessed with diets and health and can often be found in the kitchen analysing the pros and cons of everybody’s lunch.

Suzi Ley Greaves - Recruitment & HR Manager

Suzi joined Esprit in 2008 after over 20 years experience in the events industry which was preceded by a number of years working in the television and sports industries. Overseeing all Recruitment and HR practices within Esprit, Suzi is responsible for managing our recruitment team to ensure that our selection process invites only the most suitable candidates to our Interview and Assessment sessions.  She also oversees our adherence to UK Border Agency requirements regarding eligibility to work in the UK. Suzi spends most of her spare time with her family and enjoys discovering hidden corners of London. 

Edward Shaw - Training Manager

Edward joined Esprit in 2006 as a waiter where he learnt about the finer details of the events industry before joining the full time office team in 2008.  On a day-to-day basis, Edward is responsible for overseeing our team of Interviewers and Assessors to ensure that we are always recruiting team members of the very highest calibre.  He also runs all internal training and development for our front of house team up to and including the ambassador level.  Edward fills any spare time during the week with writing our staff newsletter and maintaining our website. Outside the Esprit offices, Edward is a keen classical musician and performs with a variety of orchestras, string quartets and chamber groups. 

Jo Mitchell - Client Manager

Jo joined the Esprit Group in 2008 as a part time job while treading the pavement looking for acting work.  She has worked in all different capacities with the company since then, from waitress to floor Manager, porter to recruiter & trainer. As Client Manager Jo's role finds her on the other side of the company, dealing with the day to day needs of our varied Client list, including putting together quotes, working with the booking team to put together the right teams for each event, and sometimes just being the friendly voice on the other end of a phone.
