Esprit

Esprit is the front of house arm of the Esprit Group. This division offers a comprehensive list of job roles which can be hired in any number of different combinations in order to best fulfil the demands of your event. Our staff all join us as waiters and waitresses and through a detailed training and development process, grow into the more senior roles we offer. This means all of our onsite managers have experience performing many roles of varying responsibility levels which we believe makes them the most rounded in the industry. Esprit is a team made up of a swathe of professional people including artists, fashion designers, architects and students from many disciplines who will go on to do great things, not just in this industry, but in the world at large.



Our Team

Waiters and Waitresses Esprit’s core team of Waiters and Waitresses work with an event caterer’s team, or as part of an Esprit managed team, to ensure the success of any event, be it a reception, buffet or dinner. They are immaculately presented, have solid skills and are familiar with different types of service. Many will have taken part in our further development training programmes and will have above average service skills.

Bar Staff Esprit’s core Bar Staff work with an event caterer’s own bar team, or as part of an Esprit managed team, to ensure that all aspects of an event bar service are carried out successfully. They are immaculately presented and many will have taken part in our bar specific further development training.

Coat Check Staff Esprit’s core Coat Check Staff work with an event caterer’s own coat check team, or as part of an Esprit managed team, or with dedicated coat check service companies to ensure that coat check facilities at events run smoothly and efficiently. They are immaculately presented and many will have had onsite mentoring from an Esprit Coat Check Supervisor.

Ambassadors Esprit’s Ambassadors are senior team members who have taken part in the further development and training opportunities required to progress to a more senior level. They have advanced service skills and can lead small teams under management supervision and act as mentors to newer members of our team. Esprit’s Ambassadors and Bar Ambassadors are given every encouragement to progress to Floor and Bar Manager positions.

Bar Ambassadors Our Bar Ambassadors are experienced bar staff who can lead small teams to run a bar under management supervision. A  Bar Ambassador will, like an Ambassador, mentor newer members of staff on how to set-up, operate and break down a bar.



Event Management

Event Manager An Esprit Event Manager can run all or part of a client's event or sequence of events. They have extensive leadership and venue experience. All of our Event Managers are Personal Licence Holders and have passed an accredited First Aid course.

Our Event Managers can work closely with the client in the full planning of an event, which can include site visits, meetings and pre-event liaison on all matters with the end client and suppliers. Alternatively an Event Manager can take a full event brief on the day of event and manage the event accordingly.

Bar Manager All Esprit Bar Managers hold, like our Event Managers, a Personal Licence and have passed an accredited First Aid course.

An Esprit Bar Manager can work closely with the client in the full planning of an event's bar requirements. This can include site visits, input on bar positioning, stock control, equipment and staffing level advice. Alternatively an Esprit Bar Manager can take a full event bar brief on the day of the event and manage all bar staff, bars and stock accordingly.

Floor Manager An Esprit Floor Manager can run a designated section of an event under the overall supervision of a Client’s event Manager or an Esprit Event Manager. An Esprit Floor Manager has extensive service and venue experience and will have taken part in Esprit’s development, training and mentoring programmes.

Coat Check Manager An Esprit Coat Check Manager can set up and manage an event coat check facility under the overall supervision of a Client Event Manager or an Esprit Event Manager. An Esprit Coat Check Manager has extensive venue and coat check experience and is familiar with a variety of coat and bag collection and ticketing systems.
